- Scoutmaster Once-ler has told numerous stories about a monster in the lake at Camp Weehawken; a creature that can pull campers under beneath the surface, and even sink boats if it feels so inclined. He insists you always know when it’s near by when a blue flame erupts out of nowhere.
- Truth be told he and Jellicent are friends. Decades ago when Pappy was a camper at the same lake he caught the young Jellicent but let him go; and they’ve been friends ever since.
- Anytime there’s a ship war, he finds the cause of it and drowns them. He’s not fond of the campers fighting over such silly things.
